Bloodstone: The Wound Healer

Bloodstone has held a place in many ancient cultures including the Babylonians, Egyptians, and the Pagans. These cultures would often wear the stone in battle as they believed it contained mystical powers to help them defeat their enemies. It was also believed that the stone aided in the healing of wounds. The grinding of bloodstone into a fine powder, then mixing with egg whites and honey was a popular ointment used in application to battle wounds. It was believed to stop bleeding and hemorrhaging. Here are some other wonderful properties it possesses:

  • Helps one accept change and  to overcome anxiety
